PH389 Philosophy of Religion3 credit(s) In this course, students engage with a variety of perspectives on the spiritual aspect of being human, human/divine relationship, moral dimensions of religion, the limits and types of human certainty regarding these topics, and the relationship of religious knowing to other forms of knowledge, such as scientific and historical. This engagement requires that all students read required assignments actively and critically, contribute fruitfully to shared inquiry and other forms of class discussion, and evaluate competing philosophical claims in writing.
