EDMA670 Mental Health in our Everyday Lives (3 cr.) In this course, learners focus on the application of mental health concepts to create an awareness and healthy approach within their classroom and school. Additionally, learners reflect on their growth as educators.
Upon completion of this course, learners are expected to be able to do the following:
- Reflect upon the change in one’s own perceptions and approaches around student well-being.
- Articulate how family, culture, and community affect mental health and subsequently impact learning.
- Implement learning to address a classroom social or emotional issue by using multiple instructional strategies.
- Share learning with the community.
