INTS600 Special Topics (3 cr.)

This course addresses contemporary issues within a field of study related to the health and human services field. The course covers interdisciplinary research, and theory and practice on the topic assigned. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to do the following:

1. Identify and implement practical application of the content area.

2. Demonstrate understanding of the issues related to the topic and how to implement this learning in work with families in multiple settings. 

3. Critique appropriate ethical considerations related to the given topic.

4. Evaluate emerging knowledge of the topic.

5. Analyze and evaluate the need for additional resources, including appropriate collaboration with other disciplines, professionals, and/or systems.

6. Evaluate personal bias and judgment related to the research and theories related to the topic.
