EDS786 Teacher & Administrator: Collaborative Leadership (3 cr.)Prerequisite(s): EDS726 In this course, students will be introduced to collaborative leadership and the connection between various administrative roles and successful teacher leadership. The course focuses on research-based rationale and study of the many benefits of this collaboration to the educational system and stakeholders.
Upon completion of this course students will be able to:
- Identify key administrative roles, their governance, and their connection to the collaborative system. (PO 1,3,4)|
- Identify key requirements of specialized processes and procedures using multi-tiered systems of support. (PO 2,4,5)|
- Articulate the benefits of collaborative leadership through improving student outcomes, enhancing teacher performance and satisfaction, building trust and communication between stakeholders, promoting innovation and change, and strengthening community involvement and support. (PO 6,7,8)
