LASF620 Lasallian Education Experiential Learning 5 (3 cr.)

In this final course of the concentration, learners revisit the distinctive elements of Lasallian history, spirituality, and pedagogy as well as the personal dispositions of a Lasallian educator and are invited to make judgements and commitments about their own practice. As a capstone project, learners will develop an orientation session to introduce teachers to the Lasallian educational vision that showcases their learning and formation experience as well as their unique identity as a Lasallian educator.

Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to do the following:

  1. Reflect critically on experiences and practice.
  2. Apply critical thinking to form beliefs and judgments about their own practice.
  3. Develop a creative presentation of the Lasallian educational vision.
  4. Communicate with clarity and coherence.
  5. Articulate their own understanding of themselves as a Lasallian educator.
