HH338 Hope Beyond Death3 credit(s) This course examines the meaning of suffering, dying and death through a theological perspective. While the Catholic Christian tradition is the main viewpoint for this effort, the course will also consider perceptions of death and afterlife held by other cultures and religious traditions. Studying serious and difficult topics related to suffering and death often proves significant for one’s personal and professional life. This course may be of special interest for those considering a medical career.
This course fulfills program objectives for the Lasallian Explorations program. It also fulfills a required disciplinary requirement for the Health Humanites major. Also offered as TH338.
