PRM630 AI and Emerging Trends in Project Management (3 cr.)

This course examines the use of Generative AI, and emerging trends to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of project management to create value.  The predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches are explored along with program and portfolio management.

Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to do the following

1. Audit the project environment and organization to identify, evaluate, and prioritize the integration of AI and emerging technologies.
2. Analyze and synthesize information regarding emerging trends within project management to effectively assess their potential impact, implications, and potential opportunities.
3. Create and implement AI workflows by synthesizing prompt patterns and tailoring methodologies to solve problems.
4. Audit AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and ethical compliance.
5. Engineer and deploy AI-driven frameworks to synthesize project data, enabling the assessment of project feasibility and the modeling of KPIs to optimize project performance and risk mitigation.
