Finance Major, B.A.

The finance major prepares students to enter a variety of careers such as financial planner, financial/credit analyst or financial manager in a variety of firms such as banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies and others. Finance majors are encouraged to take additional coursework in computer applications, mathematics and/or statistics.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Students will be able to apply  financial principles to make decisions for evaluating the health of an organization.

  • Students will be able to show written and verbal mastery through communication methods common in financial professions.

    Students will be able to apply financial concepts, theories, or practices relevant for an organization to achieve operational or strategic goals.

    Students will be able to apply investment strategies for personal financial goals.
