Management Major, B.A.

This major prepares students to enter first-line supervisory positions or management trainee programs in large corporations or governmental organizations, or small to medium sized enterprises. Current trends in the management of organizations, both technical and behavioral, are the central focus of study. The management major is recommended for students intending to seek careers in personnel, product, project, and systems management.

Learning Outcomes

• Demonstrate learning of core management principles, including planning, organizing, leading , and controlling and apply them to various scenarios.

• Read and analyze a budget and propose managerial decisions to address findings.

• Demonstrate the ability to apply management and leadership concepts to integrate business functions and guide long-term strategic decision-making.

• Interpret and communicate various data and metrics effectively to various audiences across an organization.

• Integrate management theories and evidence-based practices to diagnose organizational problems and propose solutions.
