B254 General Microbiology Lab1 credit(s) This laboratory course will provide students with hands-on experience in terms of the techniques used to detect, grow, isolate and identify microorganisms. (Corequisite: Bxxx Microbiology for Nurses)
Upon the completion of the course the student will be able to:

Practice aseptic and pure culture techniques.

Work collaboratively to perform experiments.

Appropriately utilize lab equipment.

Demonstrate steps involved in the scientific method.

Communicate results of scientific investigations, analyze data and formulate conclusions.

Use critical thinking and scientific problem-solving skills, including, but not limited to, inferring, integrating, synthesizing, and summarizing, to make decisions, recommendations and predictions.
