B304 Wetland Ecology and Management3 credit(s) Wetland conservation and protection are regionally, and globally significant. This course offers an overview of wetland science and its associated professional practice. The course contributes to the Natural Resources Management Minor in that it fosters exploration of the dimensions of wetland science and their function and value to society. Topics will include hydrology, biogeochemistry, biological adaptations, wetland types, wetland plant identification, management, and policy. Additionally, the course will introduce students to the unique cultural context of natural resource management on tribal lands and offer relevant cross-cultural perspectives from regional tribal nations. Prerequisites: B216 and B221
