Note: EDD834 Proposal Development may be taken instead of one of the 9 dissertation credits.
This course supports the completion of the doctoral dissertation. Under the guidance of a faculty chair and committee, students develop, implement, and present an applied research study aligned with a defined problem of practice. Emphasis is placed on scholarly rigor, methodological alignment, data analysis, and the communication of findings.
Students engage in individualized advising and must maintain continuous enrollment until all dissertation requirements are successfully completed.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

Conduct and complete an applied dissertation study aligned with an approved proposal.

Analyze and interpret research findings to address a defined problem of practice.

Produce a scholarly dissertation that demonstrates methodological rigor and coherence.

Present and defend the dissertation to a faculty committee
