Teacher preparation at the secondary (high school) level requires completion of a specific set of courses in an academic discipline, in addition to the professional education course work outlined below. Students may choose from the following licensure areas: Science (Life Science/Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), Language, Literature and Culture (including Communication/English Language Arts or Social Studies), Mathematics, and Spanish.
