DIGA608 Cloud Architecture and Web-Programming (3 cr.)Prerequisite(s): DIGA605 or equivalent or consent or program director This course introduces students to effective use of the internet and technology for sharing spatial and non-spatial data, visualizations, and interactive applications via the web. The course examines cloud data architecture for managing, analyzing, and serving data over the Internet. Students are introduced to web-based programming languages and interfaces (APIs) for presentation, visual analysis/intelligence, and communication/presentation of data via the web.
Upon completion of this course students are expected to be able to do the following:
- Develop custom web applications and functional user interfaces.
- Use cloud technologies for leveraging data management and analysis principles.
- Create workflow designs for web and cloud architecture to improve performance of services and applications.
