PYD824 Consultation in Counseling Psychology (2 cr.)

Prerequisite(s): PYD840  , PYD841  
This course examines basic theoretical models of consultation and provides an introduction to applications in counseling psychology. Consulting dilemmas are examined using case examples, with a particular focus on ethics and practice within a multicultural context. Topics include the application of psychological knowledge and skills in consultation, challenges encountered in various consultation venues, and consultation with individuals and families, interprofessional groups, healthcare professionals and systems related to health and behavior.
