DNP838 DNP Degree Completion (0 cr.)Prerequisite(s): IP Grade in DNP 837 This course is a continuation of DNP837 for students who need additional time to complete the 36 months of required clinical experience in the Graduate Program in Nurse Anesthesiology Doctoral Degree Program, per the Council on Accreditation (COA). Students are in this course because they have not met clinical requirements in order to complete the program, and are being awarded this time to do so.
Students enrolled in this course in order to complete missing clinical hours will receive a ‘no credit’ for DNP837 until this course is completed, at which time a grade will be awarded per this syllabus.
There are several case number requirements that must be met per the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), and those will be addressed on an individual basis prior to course completion.
All students in this course are assigned from 0630 to 1530 (8-hour day shifts) total 32 hours each week, Monday through Thursday, unless there is a modification approved by the Clinical Coordinator and the Clinical Director.
Any alterations in the clinical schedule must be preapproved by the Clinical Coordinator and the Clinical Director.
Clinical is 32 hours per week, Mondays through Thursdays, unless where Holidays are noted in either the Clinical Selection Spreadsheet or W2W (a Holiday that lands on a scheduled clinical day is 8 hours).
Clinical hours- All students for this course are assigned from 0630 to 1530 (8-hour day shifts) Monday through Thursday, unless there is a modification approved by the Clinical Director and the Clinical Coordinator. Sick or Personal Days must be communicated to Clinical Coordinator and Dr. Gauderman in advance or no later than morning of and requested SAME DAY as a TIME OFF REQUEST in W2W.
