CST620 Meeting the Needs of All Learners (3 cr.) This course explores various topics, considerations, current events, and best-practices which are relevant to Catholic school education. The past, present, and future of Catholic school education’s goal of fostering quality faith-based learning communities is examined. Also examined are current trends in teaching and education, education technology, and administrative best-practices. Current events and best-practices relevant to Catholic school education are evaluated for the purpose of developing faith-based learning communities which are inclusive, positive, and productive.
Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to do the following:
- Examine the role of Catholic education in society.
- Evaluate current events and trends which are relevant to Catholic school education.
- Explore the significance of faith-based learning environments for fostering inclusive and positive learning environments.
- Assess sociological, economic, and health-based environments and circumstances which affect students.
- Review technological trends and resources which influence learning and the delivery of education.
