Special Education - M.A. Degree without Licensure

Degree Requirements

This degree option is intended for individuals seeking a full understanding of special education issues and approaches, but does not include the coursework to obtain a license in special education. Minimum degree credits = 30.

Special Education Core Courses 18 cr.
Disability Specific Courses (any 4 courses)   12 cr.
Total 30 cr.

Students may select any 4 courses in the licensure area. Choosing all 4 courses within one area is recommended but not required:

Emotional/Behavioral Disorders Courses: 12 cr

Learning Disabilities Courses: 12 cr.

Autism Spectrum Disorders Courses: 12 cr.
