Teacher preparation at the secondary (high school) level requires completion of a specific set of courses in an academic discipline, in addition to the professional education course work outlined below. Students may choose from the following licensure areas: Science (Life Science/Biology or Chemistry), Mathematics, and Spanish.

Disciplinary Courses (or approved equivalent) for each content area as required by Minnesota state-accrediting body (PELSB). These lists are approved by PELSB.
Life Science/Biology Licensure:
(35 credits)

(Three-course sequence and two lab courses)
Chemistry Licensure:
(50 or 53 credits)

Mathematics Licensure:
(39 or 43 credits)

Middle Level Math Endorsement

Spanish Licensure:
(36 credits + Spanish experience)
